Wondrous weeds - strange title for a blog post, you may think.
Dealing with weeds is one of the most common questions I get asked as a compost consultant, often from exasperated homeowners who are not only sick of the sight of weeds, but also sick of paying to remove them, paying to kill them, and paying someone else to pull them out.
Maybe there's another way to look at the whole situation?
- What if weeds are our friends, not our enemies?
- What if we could learn to turn them all into healthy soil, without using any nasty chemicals, and without worrying that they will overtake the whole ecosystem of our gardens?
- What if there are medicinal properties of weeds that actually help make exquisite soil?
If you're curious to learn more about the Blue Borage approach to working with weeds and managing green waste, then pop over to the Facebook group 'Blue Borage Gardening' and join the five day challenge. We start on Friday April 1st.
My goal is to get you asking more interesting questions than 'How do I get rid of this weed?'
