Beneficial Weeds & Companion Plants

I love weeding my garden - not just because it ends up a bit tidier with space to plant more seedlings, but because of the buckets of fresh green weeds I collect for making compost. This green material is the one thing I always seem to run out of as I build hot compost piles, so bit by bit I've started growing lots of these 'extra' plants.

Would you like a handy list of the useful weeds, herbs and flowers that you can grow just for your compost?

Here's a PDF file you can print out and tick off as you gather these friendly plants in your garden.

Happy weeding

New course coming out in late January

One of the new courses in development is all about these beneficial weeds. You can get it as part of the Blue Borage Summer School at the January discounted rate, but just be aware the release date for this one course is 25/1/21. Until then, you could work through all the other topics, including making beautiful hot compost.
